Microneedling

Collagen induction therapy for smoother, firmer, and younger-looking skin.

Microneedling
"Microneedling leverages the body's natural healing cascade. By creating controlled micro-injuries, we stimulate a powerful surge of new collagen, effectively reversing signs of aging and scarring." - Skincare Specialist, Linksfield Laser Clinic

What is microneedling?

The concept of skin needling is based on the skin's ability to repair itself whenever it encounters physical damage such as cuts, abrasions, and other physical trauma. Immediately after an injury occurs our skin destroys old damaged tissue and starts the process of healing and replacing it with new fresh healthy tissue with new collagen.

Skin needling allows for the controlled induction of the skin's self-repair mechanisms by creating micro “injuries” in the skin which trigger a whole cascade of events that result in new collagen synthesis. The result is smoother, firmer, and younger-looking skin down the line.

The treatment is suitable for all skin types especially patients with acne scarring, enlarged pores, and moderate to severe wrinkling.

Key Benefits

  • Stimulates natural collagen production
  • Reduces acne scarring and stretch marks
  • Minimizes enlarged pores
  • Improves skin texture and firmness
  • Suitable for all skin types

Frequently Asked Questions

How many microneedling sessions are needed to see results?

While you will notice a glow after your first treatment, significant collagen reproduction usually requires 3 to 6 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart, especially for acne scars or deep wrinkles.

Is the microneedling procedure painful?

We apply a highly effective topical numbing cream prior to the procedure so that the treatment is comfortable and painless.

What is the recovery time?

You may experience mild redness, akin to a mild sunburn, for 24-48 hours. Most patients return to normal activities immediately following the treatment.
